Who We Are and Why You Should Listen To Us
We are a family that knows hard times. We have lived the high life and lived the broke life. We had it great and didn’t plan on tough times and when they hit, they hit harder than we could ever imagine. So we had to fight our way back out and currently still live our lives in the BROKE LIFE manner that helped us recover from financial ruin. We have done it, and we want to help you.
Long Story Short. We went from living on $125,000 per year to $34,000 per year in 2013. When you need an income to fit a $125,000 lifestyle but suddenly only have $34,000 income, you learn quick how to adjust your lifestyle to fit the income you have. We went from mid middle class to poverty level in one day.
We survived. Barely. For 2 years it was terrifying. We had every wolf knocking at the door and they weren’t there to huff and puff and blow our house down….they were there to kick our family out of it. Creditors were calling relentlessly and we didn’t have anything to tell them except we didn’t have any money to pay them. They were rude. They were mean. They didn’t care. So, we did what most do in that situation, we quit answering the phone. It wasn’t long until we didn’t have a phone to answer! But…
We didn’t file bankruptcy. We didn’t quit. We hid our problems from family and friends the best we could and we fought to get our lives back. We haven’t fully recovered but we have made moves along the way that:
- Kept us from losing our home.
- Stayed married (that was tough at times).
- Paid off our outstanding debts.
- Cleared up bad debt on credit reports.
- Positioned ourselves financially so that we will never be in the same financial crisis, if we lose a job again.
- Put our son through 4 years of college debt free. NO STUDENT LOANS. Prepared for our daughters college coming up in 2018.
- Taught our kiddos about how to handle money smartly and how to live DEBT FREE!
- Started saving for our retirement.
- Removed 99% of our stress from our lives.
So, to answer your question….. No, we did not come into some money to bail us out. No one died and left us a fortune. No one felt sorry for us and paid off everything we owed. AND…we didn’t increase our income back to $125,000 per year as before. In fact, we have mostly recovered making the same $34,000-$40,000 we were making after the financial emergency that lit us up in 2014. Are we fully recovered? NO…..but we are getting there.
If We Aren’t Selling Anything, Why Do We Want To Help You?
Because we know that there are many of you out there that are facing or currently in a financial crisis. A life emergency. We know that we can help. We know that we can teach you to live debt free. We know that we can help guide you to financial freedom so you can teach your children to do the same. You may be in your 20s or may be in your 70s…it doesn’t matter because the common sense principles we teach are simple and all it takes is commitment and dedication to turning your life around.
We want to help you because there was no one there to help us and that sucked. Everyone turned their backs on us when we needed support the most. We won’t do that to you. We can’t bail you out of financial crisis, but we can help show you how to recover. That is why we are here.
